The Area

Nagasaki, with its magnificent harbor, meandering streets and beautiful terraced slopes is a perfect place for relaxed exploration on foot, by cable car or rickshaw. The city is easy to navigate with many street signs in English.

The JR Nagasaki Station is just a 8-minute walk from the Nagasaki Prince Hotel. This major train hub is connected to the city center by cable car, part of a system that links all the main sights.

Most shopping, dining and cultural activities are located in the south of the city. Towards the north is the Peace Park and to the west, the mountaintop park of Inasayama offers splendid views.
